This online course guides you through the Building Code of Australia (BCA). In this course you will gain an extended working knowledge of the Building Code, BCA hierarchy, general rules and legislation through presentations, workshops, case studies and videos.

About this course

The Building Code of Australia (BCA) is a uniform set of technical provisions for the design and construction of buildings throughout Australia. In this online course you will get a general overview of the BCA with a focus on the housing provisions (Volume 2). The course will provide you the opportunity to apply your skills in a range of activities in an online learning environment.

At the completion of this course you will be offered a 30 minute, one-on-one phone consultation with an expert presenter. Course structure

Building and construction is complex and there are many pieces of legislation that impact on the construction process. The BCA and Australian Standards take up the bulk of the technical requirements for construction and this is the focus of this online course. Navigate your way through the Building Code of Australia with insight and expertise. Be able to use, refer and adhere to the code efficiently and effectively by learning from our industry experts.

Course delivery

This course is designed as a self-paced, online course. Participants will be able to work through the six modules and quizzes at their own pace and will be offered a thirty minute phone consultation with an expert instructor at the completion of the online content.
